This Candy Jar is an object that I remember from my childhood. The glass jars, arranged in rows, were filled with candies and other treats in grocery stores and bakeries.

I got one of these old “display sets” in an antique shop in Uruguay, and started filling the jars with objects related to various personal memories I have –both bitter and sweet– of an ever-present past.

Charcoal, ashes, broken cameras, bits of the Argentine national flower, ticket stubs from certain shows and museums, pipes, seashells, leftover spare coins from different countries, expired IDs, old family photographs…
